Marketing and Audience Engagement

Sideline Reporting

Sideline Reporting is one way our broadcast staff tries to grow our audience. When students aren't able to attend sporting events they will often try to look for a place to find live score and stat updates, and we try to provide that. Nearly all of our best performing posts on social media are "Miller Halftime Updates" or "Miller Final Score Recap." On the right, I have included the first ever sideline reporting NHS News put out. This video got over 200 likes and nearly 3 thousand views. By producing content that students want to watch, we gain followers and attention which means more eyes on all of the other content we produce.

Trending Today and Pro Sports

The Daily Show, produced by NHS News, is shown to every classroom in the school during third period each day. To many students the program is a nice break from their class work as they get to hear what's going on around the school. In order to continue this and grow our engagement we have multiple segments covering out of school topics that student really enjoy. These segment are our "Trending Today" and "Pro Sports segments. Below, I have attached examples of both.

Trending Today 0:57 to 1:14

Pro Sports 2:27 to 2:54

Trending Today 2:27 to 2:47

Pro Sports 5:12 to 5:41
